Dear Friends of Haven of Rest:

Christmas will soon be here! All departments at the mission are in full gear to prepare for Christmas Day. Two special meals will be served in our dining room to clients, and they will also receive a red bag of personal care items as they leave.

Even with all of the preparations for Christmas, our thoughts are looking into next year. The cold winter days and nights bringing more and more men, women and children to the mission for hot, nutritious meals and safe, warm shelter.

My point is, as we try to make the holidays special for needy and homeless people our work at Haven of Rest goes on 24/7, 365 days a year. We are here everyday to meet the physical and spiritual needs of hurting individuals.
